Dirk Van Vorst

Design Engineer

Dirk Van Vorst was raised in Champaign Illinois and moved to Southern Indiana to study art at the University of Evansville in 1988. In 2002, Dirk returned to the University of Evansville to earn his Electrical Engineering Degree and fulfill the last few requirements for his Bachelor of Science degree in art. Dirk's senior project was to construct a computer controlled metalworking tool. This project earned him the Best Industrial Design Award along with the Best Commercial Value Award.

While attending UE, Dirk interned at Vectren Energy Delivery, where he was offered a full time position. After a year and a half with Vectren, Dirk chose to accept a position with Ciholas Technologies to pursue a career that is more closely in line with his interest in electronic design.

In his spare time, Dirk enjoys metalworking, drawing, and playing basketball.
