Ciholas took the concept that Escalade proposed, and worked to find a solution. Escalade has a staff of mechanical engineers, but didn't have the experience in electrical engineering or firmware design to complete the project. Ciholas was able to fill the gap they needed to take this project from an idea to a full production piece of dartboard technology. This is the only fully automated bristle dartboard available today.
The black surround, made of high quality this kind of plastic, houses the led 180° and all of the digital components. Each dart throw is detected by through the built in microphone, which activates the location algorithm. The dart is pinpointed through a two camera position system that is aligned to the location and orientation of the dartboard to accurately identify each dart's location.
